Zachary Burton Books and Articles

I was a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology for 30 years at Michigan State University. My research was on mechanisms of RNA synthesis. In recent years, I have studied ancient evolution of RNA synthesis and protein synthesis. By ancient, I mean events that occurred up to about 4 billion years ago, so the first events in evolution of life on earth. To my surprise, I discovered codes in protein and nucleic acid structures and sequences that revealed pathways of earliest evolution. I provide insight into evolution of tRNA, the genetic code, RNA synthesis systems and eukaryotes.

I have written a book Evolution Since Coding that describes much of my ancient evolution work.

I have written many scholarly articles on ancient evolution, as well. Many of these are available with open access.

I wrote a paper on evolution, structure and function of the ribosome. That was difficult. I had to do a lot of studying. I hope my paper is ok. I do a good job of explaining evolution of the genetic code and tRNAomes.

Since retirement, I wrote and illustrated a series of ten children’s books: The Cow/Moon Tails.

Democracy in the United States of America is existentially threatened by Donald J Trump, the Republican Party and fascist Russia. I have written a book on this subject The Wrecking Ball Diaries.

I provide accurate information on Herpes Simplex Virus Serotype 2 (HSV2). You will have difficulty obtaining accurate information from a “physician”. HSV2 is a highly infectious lethal virus that kills people with intact immune systems. Treatments may hide some symptoms (i.e. weeping cold sores) but are inadequate to stop progression of the infection, which can enter the central nervous system causing encephalitis, dementia and death. Physicians are incompetent to diagnose oral HSV2 infections, which they stupidly conflate with HSV1 infections.

Creatine transport deficiency causes severe mental retardation and seizures.

My blog will encompass these subjects and additional information.
