Old Cows Jump Over Old Moon, Old Rabbits Jump Over Old Venus

I am working on a new Cow/Moon Tails book.

These are the greatest children’s books of all time and space.

They have the greatest art.

They have the greatest reporting.

Old MuckRaker is the greatest newspaper: the paper of record for Old Farmyard. “All the Old Muck that is Such Yuck to Rake”.

The Cow/Moon Tails have the greatest high jumping.

I was a high jumper in high school, at Pacific Palisades High School in California. I grew up a stone’s throw from the ocean.

High jumping is the greatest and most beautiful sport. I love sports. I loved jumping. I hated high school. I was a terrible high jumper, but I managed to place in league: I tied for 5th. I still have the rusty medal, somewhere. Although it was becoming the thing, I never learned to flop. I lacked the commitment to arch my back and lift my rear end over the bar. I did the Western roll. I could have jumped about 4 more inches, maybe. With Elsieburt the Cow, I try to correct my form. Her form is admirable.

I also played basketball badly in high school.

Ann and I tried to warn our kids about high school. We told them girls would be mean to them, but they mustn’t be mean to girls.
